Night has come. The wind began its howling moans. Two figures can be seen walking closely together. Willow was walking Tara back to her dorm room. The two wiccans had spent the whole day at the magic shop searching for the main ingredients to their next spell.
"I can't believe we were there all day." Willow suddenly blurted out.
"Oh. I-I'm sorry Willow. I forgot that you wanted to hang out with your friends at The Bronze tonight."
"No it's ok. Buffy is probably at Riley's place already, and Xander? Well he might be on one of his sex-capades with Anya again. They won't even notice that I'm gone." Tara couldn't help but gaze at Willow's lip as she talked. "Besides I'm having so much fun with you." Tara's eyes began to light up. "You're the greatest person to enter my life for a while now. I just feel so at peace when I'm with you."
"Really? Wow.....know ones ever said that to me before. Thank you." Tara lowered her head and shoved her hands further in her pockets, with a big smile on her face, taken aback by what her new friend had said.
"Not one person?" Willow looked deeply at the blonde witch as she answered by shaking her head.
"No, y-you're the first." The two girls quickly turned the curb toward the university campus. Willow held on to Tara's hand as they crossed the street.
"Well. I meant it. The past two months I've spent with you have really helped me get my mind off things."
The two wiccans came up from the stairs of UC Sunnydale to Tara's doom room hallway. As they approached Tara's room, the blonde quickly spoke.
"So...um...Willow? Do you maybe want to..oh never mind." Tara said as she searched for her keys.
"What?" Willow's eyes met Tara's as she responded.
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come in, but you probably want to head home already."
Tara finished unlocking the door, letting it slowly open as the blonde stood straight up anxiously waiting for an answer from the girl that had been in her mind since she first saw her in the Wicca group.
"Sure. I'd love to." Willow began to smile, but not as much as Tara did as she led the girl that pleasantly invaded her dreams into her room.
Tara closed the door as Willow placed the herbs and potions they had gotten from the magic shop on the bed. The redhead slowly sat on the edge of the bed looking at her surroundings. Being that it was her third visit to her new friend's dorm room, she was still curious as to what kind of spell books and potions the other girl had that might pique her interest.
As Willow came out of her thoughts, she turned to face Tara at the other end of the room, but all she saw was an empty room.
"Tara?"
She was gone.........
"Tara w-where are you?" Willow headed for the door, noticing that it was locked.
"I'm right behind you."
Willow quickly turned around, scanning the rest of the room. "I can't see you. What's happening?"
"It's a new spell."
Willow approached the foot of the bed, taking very slow steps. "But how? How did you do it?"
"With this."
Tara materialized on the bed with a big smile painted on her face. In her hand was a faintly glowing blue crescent medallion.
Her smile faded when she saw the worried look on the other girls face.
"Oh..I'm so sorry Willow. I didn't mean to worry like that...it's just...I wanted to show what your gift did before I gave it to you."
Willow took a seat on the bed as Tara handed her the medallion. "My gift?"
"Yes it's yours. I actually spained my wrist when I was looking for it...I-I found it when I was a kid...it was embedded on a boulder at the end of a cave. My mother grounded me for going in the cave."
Both girls laughed, not noticing that their bodies where easing closer to each other. Willow looked deeply into Tara's eyes.
"And you're giving it to me?"
"Yes. I wanted to give it to someone special, but the only special person I can think of.....is You."
Willow turned her head away looking down at the medallion that was glowing in her hand. The redhead's emotions were taking over her body. She wanted to cry, but she thought she did enough of that when Oz left. But she couldn't help it. Tara noticed a tear running down Willow's cheek.
"Do you like it?"
"Oh Tara!" Willow put her arm around the other girl tightly. "I LOVE it!"
Tara hugged the other girl overwhelmed by her response.
"Oh Willow, I love you too!" At that moment, both girls froze and broke apart from each other.
"W-what did you say?"
Tara put her head down, trying to believe this was a dream. "I said...I'm glad you love the gift."
"That's....not what you said."
